I am married to a Colombian woman. I am an American man that never really danced in my life. Naturally my wife and her family wanted me to dance at their parties and get togethers. For them it was natural. They would tell me just move and "feel" the music. Easier said then done. No matter how much you 'feel" the music if you don't know the steps, how can someone do the dance. This has been a debate with us for some time and she wishes I would take lessons so we could dance when we go out. well, Money for lessons, time for lessons and availability of competent instruction has held me back. Then I thought of a video to learn. The rest is history. Coming from a martial arts backround, I am familiar with learning footwork. I never wanted to go Salsa dancing with my friends because all of them have so much experience. I've tried taking classes, but my schedule is so busy that I'm never able to keep to a strict schedule. Then I rented salsa dvd's. Though the instructors on the dvds were great dancers, their ability to teach others was lacking. Your Beginners dvd is absolutely the best. It is so easy to follow and fun that I find myself saying and moving to 123-567- all the time. I watch your the basic dance techniques every spare moment I have. Anyway, I'm hooked.
